Luis Joaquin Lovo started Finca Bella Aurora over 50 years ago. He named the farm after his mother, “Beautiful Aurora”. At that time, only 3 acres of coffee were being harvested. Today he exclusively grows the Caturra varietal on 50 acres. This Cup of Excellence winner says his success comes from “a good plant, great climate, and perfect soil conditions in the area of Dipilto and of course, picking only the most mature cherry followed by excellent dry processing.”
